Overview

Dr. Michael Westerveld, PHD is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist in Orlando. Dr. Westerveld earned his medical degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He went on to complete a fellowship at Yale University, later joining the faculty at Yale in the Department of Neurosurgery where he was the Director of the Neuropsychology program until December, 2007. As an established member of the medical community, Dr. Westerveld has served on numerous professional boards and committees, including President of the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, and served as chair of the APA Division 40 (Neuropsychology) science advisory and practice advisory committees. A widely-published author, Dr. Westerveld has over 75 scientific articles and numerous book chapters, and is the Editor in Chief of the journal Child Neuropsychology. Dr. Westerveld specializes in lifespan neuropsychology, with interests in epilepsy, developmental disorders, traumatic brain injury (including sports-related concussion) and medical neuropsychology.
