Pediatric liver transplantation has become the standard of care for many children with liver diseases. However, different institutions often treat and manage children with liver transplant in different ways. Currently, there are no standard guidelines in place across the country to treat these children. The goal of this research is to look at how different hospitals treat these children and to look at their outcomes to help improve care, decrease complications, shorten length of hospital stay, reduce hospital re-admissions and to possibly lower mortality rates and decrease adverse events, such as organ rejection, infection, bleeding, etc. In this research study, we want to learn more about how to improve care for children who are listed for or who have received a liver transplant. We are asking you, your family and others to be in the research because you have been diagnosed with a liver-based disease that can be treated with liver transplant, are currently listed for liver transplant, or have received a liver transplant and are being cared for by a physician who is part of the SNEPT Learning Network.

This study is currently enrolling.
