Overview

Imran Mohiuddin, MD, PhD, is one of the latest additions to AdventHealth Medical Group’s elite group of radiation oncologists. As an undergraduate at the University of Florida, he earned the designation of University Scholar for his research in adapting viruses to enable gene therapy. He later was invited to study at a bioinformatics research institute co-sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation, where he developed search algorithms to facilitate detecting abnormalities within DNA. Dr. Mohiuddin then continued to simultaneously earn both his MD and PhD in Immunology through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he conducted research that characterized how the human immune system regulates itself. He completed his post-doctoral training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
