The project will involve the creation of the Florida Neonatal Neurologic Network. This network will consist of major academic and private hospitals in North-Central Florida linked together with the purpose of creating a robust registry which will incorporate hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) patient's demographic data, clinical course, amplitude integrated EEG results, imaging studies and follow-up data into a centralized registry. The network will also collect patient serum samples which will be analyzed for novel biomarkers used to predict outcome.
