Overview
Chetan Patel, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and spine specialist who is the Medical Director of AdventHealth Medical Group’s spine health practice in Altamonte Springs. A former Chief of Staff for AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, Dr. Patel is a nationally recognized authority on minimally invasive surgical techniques for stabilizing the spine and resolving neck and back pain. He directs a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in pain management, physical therapy and nutrition, with an emphasis on the most conservative treatment options that can bring lasting relief to his patients. Dr. Patel’s surgical specialties include minimally invasive fusion; microdiscectomy; laminectomy; spinal stabilization; kyphoplasty; minimally invasive TLIF, XLIF and DLIF surgeries; vertebroplasty; scoliosis correction; corpectomy fusion and more. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree and completed his residency training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and undertook his advanced fellowship training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
