Ms. Jackson has over 25 years of research experience. She is a registered nurse and worked in critical care prior to entering clinical research in 1994, as a research coordinator. In 1998 she launched a research department with a cardiology practice and later established a research clinic with a family medicine physician. Ms. Jackson entered research compliance in 2010 conducting auditing and monitoring of select research protocols and teaching research related classes. In 2017, she earned a Masters of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola Law School of Chicago. Her current role as the Research Compliance, Sr. Manager includes oversight of good clinical practice, human subjects research protections, clinical trial billing, responsible conduct in research, research misconduct, and financial conflicts of interest.
Ms. Jackson has been instrumental in the development of the Research Oversight Committee, and strives to improve processes at AdventHealth Research Institute. Ms. Jackson presented at the 2014 Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Global Conference & Exhibition, co-authored a publication in Clinical Investigator in January 2015, and co-presented a 4-hour “Master Class” at the 12th Annual Clinical Billing & Research Compliance Conference in February 2018. Additionally, she served on the 2019 Annual Meeting Program Committee for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Forum on Conflict of Interest in Academe (FOCI) 2019 Spring conference.
