Overview

Delores Barnes serves as Director of Clinical Research Operations, supporting Cardiovascular, Critical Care, Neuroscience and Transplant Institutes at AdventHealth. In this role, Delores has accountabilities for the operational performance of the research teams supporting the clinical trials and research projects at AdventHealth. Prior to her current appointment, Delores served as Senior Manager - Clinical Research Operations with responsibilities for Cardiovascular, Critical Care (COVID), Neuroscience and Transplant Research teams.

Delores earned her Bachelor Science in Nursing from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She further expanded her education to earn her Master of Business Administration from Webster University.

Delores was able to begin her journey at AdventHealth in 2000 and joined the research team in 2010. She has a strong clinical background in critical care, with an emphasis in cardiology through her previous roles as an RN in Cardiac Critical Care and Heart Catherization Recovery. She joined research as a RN-Clinical Research Coordinator in Cardiovascular Research and advanced to Supervisor and Manager. She leveraged her leadership skills and clinical expertise in her previous research roles, which positioned her to transition to provide leadership for multi-specialties and multi-campus clinical research operations at AdventHealth.
