Overview

Dennis Yang, MD, is the Director of Third Space Endoscopy at the Center for Interventional Endoscopy at AdventHealth Orlando. Dr. Yang received his medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, where he was awarded the South Academy Class Valedictorian Award and inducted into the Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Yang completed his internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He subsequently completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL followed by additional training in Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. Dr. Yang has centered his professional career in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreaticobiliary diseases and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. His clinical interest is focused on minimally invasive interventional endoscopic procedures for the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders, ranging from endoscopic therapies for motility disorders (POEM, G-POEM) to advanced resection techniques (EMR, ESD) for the treatment of early gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Yang has published over 140 peer-reviewed articles in the field of advanced endoscopy and recently received the Clinical Research Award in 2020 from the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Dr. Yang has been designated fellow of both the ASGE and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) based on his significant contributions to both societies through service, education and in the field of endoscopy. He is currently a member of the Editorial Board for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Clinical Practice Update Committee.
