Jose Arias, MD, FACC specializes in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease and vein disorders at Florida Heart Group’s locations in Orlando and Altamonte Springs. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology, and a leading physician and researcher who was part of the medical team that performed the first Orlando-area valve replacement surgery in early 2012. He is also a co-founder of Florida Heart Group’s Vein Center. A standout medical student who graduated with highest honors from the University of Caldas Medical School in Colombia, he went on to be named Best Intern and then Chief Resident in internal medicine at New York Medical College’s Metropolitan Hospital Center before undertaking his advanced fellowship training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York.
