Overview

Meghan Brodie earned her B.S. in Biology from Saint Louis University and her M.S. in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida.  She joined the research community at AdventHealth in 2008 as a researcher in thrombosis. She researched and published on topics including heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, immune complex-mediated platelet activation, and platelet activation by CD154 antibodies. She worked in the Thrombosis Research Laboratory for over 8 years before transferring to research administration in 2017.  She then spent 3 years working in clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis oversight for many of the departments in AHRI.  In this role, she grew knowledge of how the Research Institute operates and took a position as Program Manager, Education and Communication in early 2020-which fits in well with her background as an associate biology professor since 2008. Meghan strives to create new and engaging research education curricula.
