Overview

Natasha Waters serves as the Clinical Research Operations Manager, providing oversight and support to the Supervisors and Study Coordinating teams within the Translational Research Institute (TRI), Digestive Health & Surgery Institute and Orthopedic Institute. While being a key contributor in assessing operational feasibility, she has responsibilities in driving accrual metrics and timely execution of timelines, by providing a clear vision and pathway for our research teams.  Prior to her current appointment, Natasha served as the Supervisor for the TRI.

Natasha started her journey in healthcare as a tribute to the nurses who helped her grandfather recover from a critical illness. She saw the impact they had on her family and wanted to do the same for others. After working as a mental health nurse, Natasha made the transition to clinical research in 2008. She realized clinical research would give her the greatest platform to impact the lives of patients who experience chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. In 2013, Natasha joined AdventHealth’s TRI as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator.

AdventHealth’s mission of “Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ” allows her to fuse her faith and love for clinical research. As a Spiritual Ambassador, she enjoys serving as an instrument of love and grace by building trust, creating belonging and delivering hope. Natasha has coached and mentored team members to excel in research and to utilize their skills to move research forward.  By way of education, Natasha earned a nursing degree from the College of Central Florida, a Bachelor of Science degree from AdventHealth University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Leadership.
