The purpose of this research study is to study the effects of endurance exercise training on adipose (fat) tissue quality and insulin resistance in people with obesity.

To be enrolled in this study, you must meet certain requirements. You may be eligible to participate if you meet the following criteria:

Study Duration: Up to 14 weeks

Study Commitment: 
1 Screening Visit
2 Outpatient Visits
2 One-night Inpatient Visits
12-Week Intervention Period (exercise or no exercise)

Age: 18-45 years old

Sex: Male & Female

Conditions/Eligibility: Males or pre-menopausal females with obesity, between the ages of 18 to 45 who are sedentary, and are not diabetic.

Study Procedures:
• Screening procedures to assess eligibility: blood and urine collection, ECG, medical history and medication review, physical exam, vitals
• MRIs
• Glucose clamps
• Adipose and muscle tissue collections and sampling
• Consumption of water provided by the study team

Compensation: Up to $1,000
